Building Kenya’s Official Cantabria Labs eCommerce Store
goSkinTech is Kenya’s official retail partner for Cantabria Labs – one of Spain’s most respected cosmeceutical brands, whose product lines include Heliocare 360° (advanced photoprotection), Endocare (regenerative anti-ageing) and Biretix (acne-prone skin treatment). As the authorised distributor in Kenya, goSkinTech carries a premium product range that demands a premium digital presence to match.
Afrecce as an eCommerce development agency in Nairobi was engaged in late 2025 to overhaul goSkinTech’s digital presence end to end: migrating from an underperforming Shopify store to a purpose-built WooCommerce eCommerce website, cleaning up and reorganizing their social media presence and launching ongoing SEO and Meta Ads programmes to drive organic and paid growth.

The Challenge
When Afrecce was engaged, goSkinTech was running a basic Shopify store that did not reflect the calibre of a brand carrying exclusive, clinically-backed cosmeceuticals for the Kenyan market. The Shopify build was minimal and generic, it lacked the product storytelling, brand structure and conversion-focused checkout experience that premium skincare consumers expect. It also offered limited flexibility for the kind of custom, brand-specific eCommerce experience the business required. The decision was made to migrate to WooCommerce, giving Afrecce full control over the store architecture, checkout flow and user experience from the ground up.
On social media, the picture was similarly fragmented. The Instagram profile was unoptimized and the underlying Meta Business Suite setup was disorganised – hampering any future paid advertising capability and leaving the brand’s social presence below the standard expected of an official international cosmeceutical partner. There was no structured SEO or paid media programme in place, leaving the brand almost entirely invisible in organic search and absent from paid channels.

Afrecce migrated goSkinTech from Shopify to a purpose-built WooCommerce store, designed from the ground up to reflect the premium positioning of Kenya’s only authorised Cantabria Labs retailer. The move to WooCommerce gave full design and architectural flexibility, enabling Afrecce to build a product-first store with clear brand differentiation between the three Cantabria Labs ranges: Heliocare 360°, Endocare and Biretix – each with its own brand story, dedicated landing page, and curated product catalogue. The design is clean and confidence-inspiring, communicating clinical credibility without feeling cold. The tone needed for a brand selling medical-grade skincare to an informed Kenyan consumer. Wishlist functionality, promotional pricing, same-day delivery messaging and order tracking were all built into the store to deliver a complete, professional retail experience.

The checkout experience was engineered with a single priority: converting browsers into buyers. Every step of the checkout journey was stripped of distraction – removing navigation, competing calls to action and non-essential elements that typically cause abandonment on standard eCommerce builds. Payments are processed through Paystack – a leading, internationally recognised payment gateway built for African markets. The integration supports M-Pesa for the majority of Kenyan shoppers, as well as debit and credit cards for customers who prefer card payments. Paystack’s reputation for security and reliability makes it the preferred payment processor for Afrecce’s eCommerce builds in Kenya, giving both merchants and customers confidence in every transaction.

Store Operations & Customer Experience
Beyond the core shopping experience, the store was built with practical retail operations in mind. Customers can track their orders directly on the site, manage a wishlist across sessions, and access a clear shipping and returns policy. Free same-day delivery for orders placed before 4PM and free delivery on orders over KES 10,000 are surfaced prominently. Key conversion drivers that were woven into the site design rather than buried in fine print.

Social Media Cleanup & Optimization
Afrecce conducted a thorough audit and reorganisation of goSkinTech’s social media presence as a foundational step before any paid media could be deployed effectively. The Meta Business Suite was cleaned up and properly structured, resolving the disorganisation that had accumulated and establishing a clean, correctly configured foundation for future advertising campaigns.
The Instagram profile was fully optimised: bio, highlights structure, profile presentation, and content alignment were all brought in line with the brand’s positioning as an official Cantabria Labs partner in Kenya. A coherent, professional social presence is now in place across channels, ready to support both organic growth and paid campaigns.

SEO programme was launched in early 2026 to establish and build goSkinTech’s organic search visibility in Kenya. As an SEO agency in Kenya with experience across eCommerce and the skincare sector, Afrecce is implementing a structured on-page and content strategy targeting high-intent search terms for premium skincare products, Cantabria Labs-specific queries, and medical-grade skincare searches in Nairobi and across Kenya. A Meta Ads programme was launched concurrently to drive immediate paid visibility across Facebook and Instagram, targeting Kenyan skincare consumers with campaigns focused on product awareness, brand education, and direct eCommerce conversions.
