The Challenge
For a law firm of this standing, the website is not merely a contact page, it is the primary instrument through which prospective clients, institutions, international organisations and government bodies form their first impression. A firm led by a professor with over 30 years of experience, practising across 12 specialist areas, demands a web presence that communicates intellectual rigour, credibility and breadth without sacrificing clarity.
The core design challenge was one of complexity and authority in equal measure. The site needed to surface 12 distinct practice areas: each with its own page, specialist context and target audience within a coherent, navigable structure that felt neither overwhelming nor generic. It also needed to present the individual lawyers and their specific expertise in a way that reinforces the firm’s positioning as a team of genuine specialists, rather than generalist advocates.
